HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announces the relaxation of 12th board exam marks for IIT-JEE Advanced

The admission criteria for the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) have been relaxed. This time, apart from qualifying the Joint Entrance Examination JEE or JEE Advanced, students will not be required to score a minimum of 75% in their school boards to be eligible, said by the HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal.

Earlier, students who had scored 75% marks in the Class 12 board exams or ranked in the top 20 percentile were considered. However, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, several board papers were canceled, and amid the students scoring fewer marks. The Joint Admission board or JAB had decided to relax the eligibility criteria of 75 percent marks.

The good news is that the JEE Advanced qualified candidates who have passed their 12th board exams irrespective of their achieved marks will now be eligible for admission in the JEE advance.

We wish you the best of luck for your future achievements. Hence, we look forward to updating you anything in this regard.
